Itch.io copies now come with a Steam key
This is just a quick update to let you know - copies bought on itch.io now come with a Steam key that you can redeem.
You can access the key from the download page on itch.io has sent you. The e-mail that itch.io sends you after a purchase should have the link to your download page. If you don't have the e-mail anymore, you can request a new one here: https://itch.io/docs/buying/already-bought.

Will a similar thing be done for the GoG release as well, for those of us also using GoG but have purchased on itch.io?
For now, Steam only.
I'm not 100% sure if setting up a similar solution for GOG would be possible. If it's something more people want, we can look into it.
Alright, thanks for the reply. It would be neat to see something done for the GOG release if possible, I don’t use Steam myself.
